Reading is so important to the development of a child. It is a great time to spend time with your child as they are learning new things. Starting the habit early is always a great and easy way to prepare them for school too! There are so many good books out there that it was really almost impossible to choose 10, but I just chose the ones that my daughter chose to read the most in her first year and a half of life. I’m sure you could add many to this list and we would love if you would comment with your child’s favorites. Also, check out our other post on 7 Benefits to Reading to your Child.
I'm guest posting today over on LouisvilleFamilyFun.net with all of the local children's consignment sales this fall season. Back in February I posted about why parents MUST shop kids consignment sales, and I was glad to have the opportunity to share a post with all the sales. If you live in the greater Louisville Area, you need to go make a note of all the upcoming sales and save lots of money on clothes, toys, baby accessories, and anything you could ever need for your child.
I know every city doesn’t have kids’ consignment sales and stores, but many do. If your city does, you should really take advantage of them. Most places don’t let you consign things unless they’re really clean and with how fast kids grow, most clothes don’t get worn that much. Especially when they’re babies they don’t know the difference between clothes from a consignment store and clothes from the mall, so take advantage of the cheap clothes while you can! Plus you can instill in your child at a young age that it’s okay to get things at a consignment store and you can save money throughout their childhood!
A couple months have passed since I first post about 10 Must Have Baby Items and I felt it was time to add to the list. As my daughter has grown, so has the list of essential baby items. Any parent knows that narrowing down a list of esentials to only 10 items is pretty much impossible. So here are ten more baby items that make life so much easier for my me and my wife.
