As a new parent there are a lot of "firsts" that you look forward to. One of the great moments is picking out your baby's first Halloween costume. There are a lot of options out there for parents, and that has inspired my wife and I to put together a list of some of the mos adorable AND creative costume ideas for babies and toddlers. Whether you're deciding to make your own costume or buy one, we hope that the 20 ideas below inspire you with your little ones.
Reading is so important to the development of a child. It is a great time to spend time with your child as they are learning new things. Starting the habit early is always a great and easy way to prepare them for school too! There are so many good books out there that it was really almost impossible to choose 10, but I just chose the ones that my daughter chose to read the most in her first year and a half of life. I’m sure you could add many to this list and we would love if you would comment with your child’s favorites. Also, check out our other post on 7 Benefits to Reading to your Child.
I'm guest posting today over on LouisvilleFamilyFun.net with all of the local children's consignment sales this fall season. Back in February I posted about why parents MUST shop kids consignment sales, and I was glad to have the opportunity to share a post with all the sales. If you live in the greater Louisville Area, you need to go make a note of all the upcoming sales and save lots of money on clothes, toys, baby accessories, and anything you could ever need for your child.

Welcome to Ordinary Parent's first giveaway!
I've personally ordered 8 photo books from Shutterfly to date, and when a friend of ours offered to give us a gift card I really wanted to use it for myself. But my wife and I decided to give it away to OrdinaryParent visitors and fans instead. Don't forget to receive double the entries by liking us on FB (current fans automatically entered) and completing the form below. Winner will be notified by email and posted on our site with a first name and last initial.
