My husband posted about what he was thankful for last year, and I wanted to take a few minutes and write about some things that I am thankful for. I want to start by saying that I am thankful that I am just now writing this on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. My husband is currently driving us back from Tybee Island, Georgia where we spent Thanksgiving with family, so that is the first thing I am thankful for. I am thankful for the family that we got to spend time with. Abby enjoyed spending time with her family, but especially her cousin “Fennedy” and Uncle “Gornon,” who, as we drive back, she keeps asking for. I am thankful for the beautiful weather that we had and the delicious food that we had (a traditional Thanksgiving meal as well as lots of crab and fresh shrimp!).
It’s that time of year again when we are reminded to be thankful for the blessings in our life. This year is very different than every other Thanksgiving I’ve celebrated because this time I am and father. And on this, the first Thanksgiving as a parent, I’ve created a list of the top 5 things I am thankful for at this moment.
